Through partnerships, staff training, and public awareness, we stand united against trafficking in all its forms.

Understanding & Preventing Human Trafficking

At Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), we’re committed to ending human trafficking. Research shows criminals use airports to scout and transport victims. By educating employees and customers to spot the signs of human trafficking, we can help make a difference. Our Human Trafficking Policy Statement reflects our current practices and our commitment to reducing the risk of human trafficking occurring at DTW. To learn more, please review our policy.

We are proud to be part of the national effort to combat human trafficking. At DTW, our efforts include:

  • Partnering with the Department of Homeland Security’s Blue Campaign
  • Displaying awareness materials in terminals and restrooms
  • Training airport staff to identify and report signs of trafficking
  • Encouraging the traveling public to stay alert and report concerns
