The DTW Destination Pass lets non-ticketed guests enter the McNamara or Evans terminals to shop, dine, or surprise loved ones at the gate. Whether you’re saying goodbye, welcoming someone home, or enjoying airport amenities, you can now experience the terminal without a boarding pass.

What You Can Do With a Destination Pass

The DTW Destination Pass is available for use from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. any day of the week at both the McNamara and Evans terminals. Valid only on the day of issue. Must be 18+ or accompanied by an adult

Apply in-person at one of the Kiosks Near Security in Evans and McNamara

Visit a Destination Pass Kiosk

Located on the Departures Level of McNamara or Evans Terminal

Scan a valid U.S. government-issued photo ID

Acceptable IDs include REAL ID-compliant driver’s licenses or passports

Print your pass and proceed to TSA screening
  • You’ll go through the same security process as a ticketed passenger
  • All TSA rules apply, including prohibited items and liquid restrictions

  • Destination Pass holders must follow all TSA regulations
  • All carry-on restrictions apply (no large liquids, weapons, etc.)
  • Access is for personal use only—commercial/professional use is not allowed
