Blue Deck Employee Ground Floor Regular Parking is FULL!
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has announced a new identification policy that will affect all travelers. Beginning February 1, 2026, anyone who arrives at a security checkpoint without a REAL ID or another acceptable form of identification will be required to pay a $45 fee to use the TSA’s backup identity-verification system, known as TSA Confirm.ID.
This fee covers a 10-day travel period, but the verification process may take longer than standard screening, according to the TSA. To avoid the extra cost, travelers are encouraged to make sure they have the right ID before their next trip.
If you don’t have REAL ID, you can still fly domestically with:

Customers heading to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) should allow extra drive time due to construction.
In January, the Wayne County Airport Authority (WCAA) launched a multi-project construction program to rehabilitate roadway tunnels on Dingell Drive. The projects impact traffic flow on Dingell Drive from approximately the Evans Terminal to the Eureka Road exit and entrance ramps near the McNamara Terminal.
From March 18, 2024, to mid-2025, northbound traffic on Dingell Drive will be closed. All traffic will be shifted to the southbound side of the roadway and tunnels.
Early in the Summer of 2025, the closure of Southbound Dingell Drive is expected to begin shifting all traffic to the Northbound side. Work is anticipated to be complete with all lanes reopened by the summer of 2027.
Construction will continue year-round until the anticipated conclusion in 2027. During this time, customers may experience delays while driving on the DTW campus. Departing travelers are encouraged to plan ahead and give themselves additional time to reach their gate. Access to parking decks, lots and the Westin hotel will not be impacted.
Pardon our dust! Work continues in the McNamara Terminal to modernize the restrooms in Concourses A, B and C, as well as the Ground Transportation Center.
The redesigned restrooms feature upgraded lighting, fixtures, flooring, wall tile and baby changing stations, as well as provide additional accessibility for customers.
Restrooms currently under construction are located by A20, A34, B15, C12, within the Light Tunnel to the B/C Concourse, International Arrivals area, one of the two Federal Inspection Services (FIS) Pre-Customs Area restrooms and one of the two baggage claim area restrooms.
Signs throughout the terminal help direct customers to the nearest available restrooms including A10, A12, A28, A50, A64, A70, B1, C16, and the FIS Baggage Claim Area which were upgraded during the first phase of the project.
We appreciate your patience as we work to improve the customer experience at DTW.
