The Wayne County Airport Authority Police Department provides 24\/7 law enforcement services at Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) and Willow Run Airport (YIP).<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The Wayne County Airport Authority (WCAA) Police Department provides 24-hour police services to travelers, visitors and tenants at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), Willow Run Airport and Crosswinds Marsh.<\/p>\n

DTW is one of the nation\u2019s largest and busiest airports. In this unique environment, our CALEA-accredited police department serves a community of nearly 30 million passengers each year.<\/p>\n

Whether you are a first-time traveler, a person picking up a loved one, an airport service provider, or somewhere in between, our officers help ensure you can move through our facilities with little interruption and in a safe manner.<\/p>\n

Officers work alongside federal partner agencies, including the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The WCAA Police Department also receives and provides support to local police agencies.<\/p>\n

Our police department has a variety of responsibilities including proactive mobile patrol, foot patrol, as well as traffic direction and control as travelers make their way to and from passenger terminals. Officers monitor for suspicious behavior and criminal activity and respond to calls for service.<\/p>\n

The WCAA Police Department\u00a0has been nationally accredited by the\u00a0Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies – CALEA<\/a>\u00a0since 2008. Jurisdiction and Authority<\/h4>\n

WCAA Police Officers are fully certified under the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES). They are authorized to enforce local, state, and federal laws on airport property, including terminals, roadways, and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n
